The affordable new Prism Snapshot 1.4 Kite fits radical aerial thrills in your pocket, your briefcase, or the glove box of your car. Exceptionally fast and hard-pulling for their size, even the 1.2 will keep you on your toes when the wind picks up. Unlike most parafoils, the Snapshot sports a tight, responsive turn response that feels like driving a finely tuned sports car as compared to a truck; it just feels good carving up the sky. Smaller than the foils you’d use for buggying or kiteboarding, these wings are the ideal intro to power kiting and dual-line control. They’re great for learning the basics because there’s nothing to break when you crash, but you’ll bring yours everywhere once you get the hang of it because they’re just so much fun. Carefully shaped inlets keep the wing from collapsing in gusty wind, a constant problem with lesser designs, and the elliptical planform with a new airfoil profile minimizes drag for awesome speed and acceleration. Complete with Spectra lines already attached, flight straps, winder, and tail, the Snapshot will make a wind junkie out of you on your first breezy day. Featuring a tight turn response, this power sport kite is moderately fast and medium-pulling in the 4-25-mph winds it’s built to explore. It’s great for learning sport-kiting basics because there’s nothing to break in a crash. Shaped inlets keep the wing from collapsing in gusty wind, and the elliptical planform with new airfoil profile minimizes drag for speed and acceleration. Complete with two 100-foot Spectra lines already attached, flight straps, winder, and tail, the ripstop-nylon kite stuffs into a pouch (included) with a carabiner clip for belt or backpack. Wing span is 56 inches, sail area is 1.0 square meter, and line rating is 200 pounds.

About Prism
An avid windsurfer, pilot and competitive sailor, Mark Reed, now president of Prism Designs, discovered two-line sport kiting in the late 1990s, when he was in college and sport kites were, at best, primitive. In 1991, his hobby became a business in a tiny house in Seattle. From that modest beginning, Prism has grown into a worldwide business, introducing and explaining the sport as it grew. Today, Prism manufactures in Seattle and Asia and carries two lines of kites, with models for first-time flyers up to world-ranked competition pilots.
